Thorndale Medical Clinic is a clinic conveniently located in Dublin 5, providing confidential and effective services that deal with the needs of our patients quickly and accurately. We are dedicated to giving the best possible care to our patients.
Our experienced and highly qualified doctors provide expert GP services to our patients and are available by appointment only.
We accept private and medical card and doctor visit cards patients.
We are a wheelchair friendly ground floor practise with a ramp allowing easy access into the practise.

Dr Sumit Rana is a highly qualified general practitioner and a vocationally trained consultant cardiologist. Dr Rana is both multilingual and a multi-specialist; speaking English, Russian, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Lithuanian and basic Finnish. He is registered with the Irish medical council in the specialist division of general practise as well as cardiology and internal medicine.
During his training he completed his basic internal medicine training (bst internal medicine) in UHL, Limerick. He went on to complete training in the UK, as well as Ireland, France and Lithuania. Dr Rana has over 12 years of medical experience as a doctor, with the majority of this experience gained in Ireland, the UK and France. He has worked a consultant cardiologist in Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown and the University hospital Kerry in Tralee.
As a passionate, kind and incredibly hard-working double specialist doctor; he is one of the first in Ireland willing to provide direct specialist services at a primary care level. Hence giving our patients better care quicker and avoiding hospital waiting lists.
With the vision of providing specialist care at a primary level, our goal each day is to ensure all our patients’ needs are not only met but exceeded. We have a dedicated team of doctors and staff to ensure this.
